Western Australia is definitely a strong contender because of the crazy contrast between the red earth and the Indian Ocean, but I reckon the salt lakes in the interior are where the real magic happens. It’s wild how the earth looks like a giant living organism when you take the camera up high enough to see the drainage patterns and the scrubland. I was just looking at australian landscape photography prints via Stevenstanleymanolakis and it reminded me that the most boring ground-level spots often turn into the most incredible masterpieces once you change your vertical perspective
