The dealer's warranty sounds great but I'm still nervous about hidden issues

I've been negotiating on a 2018 Volkswagen Touareg from a dealership in Ras Al Khor and they're offering a one year warranty with the car which sounds reassuring on the surface. The salesman keeps telling me that with the warranty I don't need to worry about anything because if something breaks they'll fix it, so I should just focus on the monthly payments and not stress about inspections or service history. I'm not convinced though because I've read enough threads on here to know that dealer warranties often have fine print that excludes a lot of things, or they'll fight you on every claim and make you go to their own garage where they have control over what gets fixed and how. I'd much rather know the actual condition of the car before I buy it instead of relying on a promise that something might get fixed later if I fight for it. The car looks good but I noticed the tires are a bit worn on the inside edges which makes me wonder about alignment or suspension issues that might not be covered by a warranty anyway. I'm thinking I should just arrange for an independent evaluation before I sign anything so I have my own information to work with instead of trusting the salesman's word and a piece of paper that might not actually cover what matters. I found a service called https://prepurchasecarinspection.ae/ that can come to the dealership and give me an unbiased report, and honestly I think that's the only way I'll feel comfortable moving forward. Has anyone here bought a car with a dealer warranty and then had them refuse to cover something major? Am I being too cautious or is this the right move?
