Dealership wants to replace my entire CTS AC system. Is there an independent shop in Sharjah that actually diagnoses instead of guessing?

Quote from anitakowalczyk on April 22, 2026, 8:15 amTook my 2015 Cadillac CTS to the dealer last week because the AC has been doing this thing where it works perfectly fine for about thirty minutes of driving and then the airflow just drops off a cliff, like the fan is still running but the vents feel like they're barely pushing anything out. The service advisor called me back after a day and said their tech recommends replacing the compressor, the condenser, and the expansion valve all at once because there's metal shavings in the system. The quote was more than I paid for the car's down payment five years ago. I asked if they could just show me where the leak was or if they actually tested the blower motor and the advisor just kind of mumbled something about standard procedure. Now I'm not saying there isn't a problem but I've been burned before by places that just throw the whole parts catalog at a car instead of spending an hour actually pinpointing the issue. I found a few mentions online of Cadillac AC Repair Experts in Sharjah that apparently deal with these ATS and CTS platform cars specifically and know the common failure points without resorting to a full system replacement every time. Anyone else with a 3.6L CTS dealt with this gradual loss of airflow after extended driving and found it was actually something simple like a freezing evaporator coil from a stuck thermostat or a clogged cabin filter housing? Just trying to get a second opinion before I sign away my next vacation.
