While the quest objectives are straightforward, navigating the busy Research & Administration building and avoiding threats requires careful planning. 1. Start the Quest: Accept the Mission from Celeste

Before diving into the Dam Battlegrounds, you first need to unlock and accept "A Balanced Harvest." The quest is given by Celeste, a key NPC in the Raiders' camp who specializes in assigning exploration and research-focused missions. She will explain that the settlement needs agricultural research data from before the first wave to improve food variety, setting the stage for your mission.

You can unlock the quest after completing a few initial missions in the central hub-no high-level gear or prior experience is required. Once you accept the quest, your objective will update: head to the Dam Battlegrounds map and locate the Research & Administration building to find traces of the agricultural research project.

2. Prepare for the Mission: Gear and Strategy Tips

One of the most important tips for "A Balanced Harvest" is to avoid overpreparing. The quest does not require you to extract from the Dam Battlegrounds, meaning you won't lose your gear if you die during the mission. For this reason, using a free kit is ideal-save your rare or high-value gear for quests that demand extraction.

That said, the Research & Administration building is a high-traffic POI (Point of Interest) with contested key rooms, so you may encounter other players or hostile sentinels. Equip close-quarters combat (CQC) weapons like shotguns or SMGs, as the building's narrow hallways limit visibility and movement. Bringing a few smoke grenades can also help you escape ambushes or cover your movements if spotted.

3. Navigate to the Research & Administration Building

The first objective of the quest is to reach the Research & Administration building, located within the Dam Battlegrounds map. The building is situated in the eastern part of the map, near a ruined control tower, and is easily identifiable by its multi-level structure.

While you can enter the building from any angle, the southwest entrance is the most efficient for this quest. This entrance leads directly to the reception room, where your objective will update to locate Lab 1 on the upper floor above the reception. Be cautious as you approach-patrolling sentinels or enemy raiders may be guarding the building's exterior.
