Anyone else get stuck in the loop where they keep sending you back to work too soon?

Quote from anitakowalczyk on March 25, 2026, 3:31 pmI'm starting to feel like the insurance company's whole strategy is just to keep sending me back to work until I get hurt again and then they can blame it on something else. I got hurt at my job in Poughkeepsie about eight months ago, a back injury that's been really stubborn. Every time I start making progress in physical therapy, the insurance doctor says I'm ready to go back to light duty, and my employer puts me on some modified schedule for a few weeks. Then I end up reinjuring myself because even light duty in a warehouse still involves a lot of standing and bending, and I'm back to square one. This has happened three times now. I feel like I'm stuck in this loop where they keep pushing me back before I'm ready, I get hurt again, and the whole process starts over. My own doctor keeps telling me I need more time to heal, but the insurance company doesn't seem to care. I've been thinking about finding a Hudson Valley work injury lawyer because I'm tired of being stuck on this merry-go-round and I feel like I need someone to help me make them listen. Has anyone else been through this cycle where they keep sending you back and you keep getting reinjured? How did you break out of it? I'm worried I'm going to end up permanently damaged because they won't give me the time I need to actually heal. Any advice would be really appreciated.
